Water leaking from a broken sprinkler will still be visible.Inspired by a commenter from one of my other guides inquiring about a similarly functional script for Steam (specifically for one that did not have the "In non-Steam game" status attached), I finally got around to installing Sims 3 on Steam to see what I could come up with. A mod by Numenor at Mod the Sims can prevent this by making the water from sprinklers invisible. Players should note that active sprinklers are graphically intensive, and can cause lag. Therefore, it may be best to call a repairman, as a repairman will always be able to find the broken sprinkler. Sprinklers are small, so a leaking sprinkler may be hard to spot, and hard to click on, especially if it is in the same square as a patch of flowers. Broken sprinklers will still water plants, but will leak, and will depress the environment score. Sprinklers can break, and can be repaired. Sprinklers will not overwater plants, but plants can still be overwatered if it rains.
If a sprinkler is placed in the same square as a plant, it may not be possible to grab it again without moving the plant. Sprinklers will water flowers as well as Seasons garden crops, and can be placed in the same grid square as a plant. When the game is in Buy mode or Build mode, the area a sprinkler covers will be marked by a transparent green dome if any part of the dome touches a square, plants in that square will be watered. They will not create puddles if they cover areas not occupied by plants. Sprinklers operate automatically, and will come on when they are needed. A sprinkler can cover 90 degrees (for §90), 180 degrees (for §180), or 360 degrees (for §360). In The Sims 2: Seasons, the Garden Schpritzer line of sprinklers is found in Build mode's Gardening Center.
It's a must for gardeners stuck in the age of sweat and toil! What once cured dry, crispy skin, will leave gardeners with lush, harvest-laden foliage. The Garden Schpritzer, modified from a model used on Sims in luxury spas, will leave no plant dry. The Sims 2: Seasons Garden SchpritzerĮven though the world's gone nuts with the back-to-basics agricultural movement, it doesn't mean that Sims need to resort to rustic low tech.
